The leaders of school education in Russia have been announced

Schools in St. Petersburg and Moscow topped the rating of the quality of school education, compiled by Rosobrnadzor. The rating was compiled based on an assessment of the Russian regions according to 12 criteria. The third in the ranking was the Leningrad region, the fourth – the Kaliningrad region, the fifth – the Yaroslavl region. The top 10 also includes the Tambov region, Udmurtia, Sverdlovsk region, Perm region, Murmansk region.

To calculate the rating, in addition to other data, the scores of the Unified State Exam, the main state exam, and all-Russian tests were used.

Three groups of indicators are identified in the rating. The first is the learning outcomes of schoolchildren: the achievement of the minimum level of training by schoolchildren, the achievement of a high level of training, educational equality, and functional literacy. The second group is the practice-oriented nature of school education. This group of indicators included the use of laboratory equipment, the use of computers, admission to educational institutions of secondary vocational education in their region, admission to universities in their region. The third group is the management of the school education system: objectivity of assessment procedures, the effectiveness of education quality management mechanisms, the effectiveness of organizational and technological support for the USE-2019, analytics and interpretation of the results of the state final certification.

This rating will be renewed twice a year.
